Holiday project update:
Please donate grocery gift cards
All of the 106 families (with 233 children) who registered for our Christmas Hope project have been adopted!
If you still want to help with the Christmas project, please consider donating gift cards in any denomination from Wegmans, Aldi or Walmart. We have a record 118 households without children under 18 seeking Christmas assistance, and they receive a gift card for food. Many of these households have elderly or disabled members.

Hope Headlines
With the uncertainty surrounding food assistance through the SNAP program (food stamps), Webster organizations are stepping up to fill the gap.
Here are suggestions for a few places where supplemental food aid may be available:
Simply Crepes
Simply Crepes, 1229 Bay Road, will distribute food to SNAP- and WIC-eligible families from 1 to 5 p.m. each Tuesday in November (Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25).
Eligible families will receive a bag containing typical groceries such as eggs, flour, butter, coffee and other items. SNAP and WIC recipients just need to show proof of their participation in the programs to qualify.
The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays during the distribution.
Webster Food Insecurity Coalition
The Webster Food Insecurity Coalition, with more than a dozen member organizations, publishes a brochure listing nearly 20 locations for food assistance. Click on the image at the right to download a PDF brochure listing them.
Church meals
Churches Offering Meals for Everyone (COME) will have its usual offerings from four area houses of worship:
The Gathering Place (United Church of Christ), 570 Klem Road, 4:30 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month. The next one will be Sunday Dec. 14.
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1130 Webster Road, 5 p.m. Monday Dec. 15.
Webster Methodist Church, 169 E. Main St., 4:30 p.m. each third Saturday of the month. The next ones will be Saturdays Nov. 15 and Dec. 20.
St. Rita's, 1008 Maple Drive, 5 p.m. Wednesdays Nov. 19 and Dec. 17.
Cash contributions to help us buy the gift cards also would be appreciated. Use this link to donate online, or send a check to us at 1450 Ridge Road, Webster NY 14580.
Even though our most recent garage sale ended just two months ago, it’s time to start gearing up for the next one in September 2026. To that end we have scheduled our first donation events on:
Jan. 14, 3 to 5 p.m.
Jan. 28, 3 to 5 p.m.
Feb. 11, 3 to 5 p.m.
Feb. 25, 3 to 5 p.m.
All donation days are Wednesdays. For details about donation policies, see the Garage Sale page of this website.
